Our Vision

 

To empower the African diaspora through resource mobilization, knowledge sharing, and strategic collaboration, creating a stronger, united and more connected global African community.

Mission

 

To unite people of African descent through cultural programming, networking, skill empowerment, project initiatives, government advising, consultancy services, and showcasing African heritage, and resources on a global stage.

 

Aims and Objectives

1.⁠ ⁠To facilitate connections among African Diaspora Communities through events, forums, and collaborative platforms that foster unity and collective action.  

 

2.⁠ ⁠To establish a dynamic platform that enables the African Diaspora to channel their skills, experiences, and expertise towards the socio-economic and political advancement of Africa, while also supporting and empowering our local communities through engagement, development initiatives, and cultural preservation.

 

3.⁠ ⁠To establish African Diaspora Community Resource Centers (ADCRC) to assist with settlement, career guidance, holistic well-being and other community focused programs.

 

4.⁠ ⁠Mobilize resources for    sustainable investments in education, healthcare, agriculture, climate change, and renewable energy locally and across Africa.

 

5.⁠ ⁠Showcase African heritage, traditions, and global tourism opportunities.

 

6.⁠ ⁠Organize annual global event featuring guest speakers, cultural celebrations, and networking opportunities.

 

7.⁠ ⁠Partner with key stakeholders and policymakers to advocate for African interests worldwide.

GADNRMI BENEFITS / GOALS / ACTIVITIES

 

1. To bring the African diaspora community together through collaboration and sharing of information, knowledge, resources and skills.

2. To serve as a focal point for the promotion of a deeper appreciation of African culture and heritage.

3. To provide holistic support to members which includes, but are not limited to, social, emotional, spiritual, physical, financial and any other assistance at times of need.

4. Provide a sense of belonging and identity; home away from home.

5. Assist members when bereaved, financially or otherwise.

6. To assist newcomers with full settlement and integration, including introduction to available community resources, providing temporary transportation and accommodation.

7. Provide hot beverages and meals and temporary shelters to the homeless during winter season.

8. To offer guidance on parenting in a new cultural environment,  including discussions on education systems, healthcare, and parenting strategies.

9. To establish African Diaspora Cultural & Community Resource Centers, which will provide, among others,  various community outreach programs.

10. To organize local get togethers and annual international conference as well as participate in folkarama.

11. To provide African cultural dishes, warm beverages to the homeless and food donations, food hampers and food distribution outlet.

12. Support and promote African Diaspora owned businesses.

13. To offer employment and job search services, including resume (CV) and cover letter writing and interview preparations.

14. Offer basic computer training, cooking lessons on Canadian, African and Oriental cuisines, math and language tutorials, the languages are English, French, Spanish, Arabic, aramaic, and others.

15. To actively promote good relations between African Diaspora and others within the community.

16. To provide a place of connections, recreation activities, toastmasters and other outreach programs.

17. Participate in international conferences and forums.

18. Provide an avenue or platform for transferable Diaspora skills in the socio - economic and political development of Africa through consultancy services, capacity building, training workshops, and others.

19. Offer emergency loans, especially tuition fee to students e.g. during delayed student loan processing.

20. To partner, liase, network, and collaborate with various organizations, individuals and other like-minded stakeholders, in achieving the above short and long term goals.

How It All Started

 Global African Diaspora Network & Resource Mobilization Initiative (GADRMI) was started in 2024 in Brandon, Manitoba. It's a not for profit organization. 

 

The Global African Diaspora Network & Resource Mobilization Initiative (GADNRMI) was founded to address the growing challenges faced by the African diaspora worldwide. Recognizing the power of unity and collaboration in a globalized world, GADNRMI serves as a global umbrella organization, connecting Africans across continents to foster collective growth and development.
